About Curses Generational and Otherwise~~~~~

To  Red Velvet and a few others who have asked me.

"Dear Ms. Q What are curses?"

Well if you hit your finger with a hammer instead of a nail or trip over something or hit your head or elbow on something what do you do, you utter a curse, even if it's G## damn it!

So what are you cursing?  The object of your pain, which in a way is silly because you may need to use that object later on.   It is more of a release of the pain you feel.

Most curses is just that a release of pain.  But.....

I’m going to post a question and my answer to RD.   It deals with Generational Curses which some people feel they are under.

Hi Miss Q,
I have concerns of a generational curse. I'm told it is one of the badest ones around. Meaning to remove it will take a lot of power and serious prayer. I just found out about it yr ago and it explains so many things in my life. I've had a shamanic healing and not sure if it even tapped the surface. What can I do? Is Black Destroyer strong enough? What would you suggest? It's has been definitely a stressful time in my life. Everything I have ever wanted or come close to gets snatched or blocked from me. Help please!!!
Thanks,
RD

It can be done, but after you use it you then must do a positive ritual to improve your own life. Generational curses have a habit of emphasizing the bad habits of a family in that they do not learn to improve themselves but say "Oh it’s the curse", you can fight the curse by doing things to improve your life and this is in addition to rituals, prayers to improve yourself.

You also have to remember that in life we have our hills and our valleys, when we have our hills we can be happy but not to waste the positive that comes to us, when we have the valleys we must learn the lesson that the Higher Power is teaching us, by doing that we become strong.

If something has been snatched or blocked from you maybe it was not the right thing, or the right time for it.

First wrap yourself with the white light of protection from Arch Angel Michael, recite the Michael prayer which I have posted much earlier on my Blog. Second get pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary and put it over your bed.

Cleanse the area where you live (apartment/house) you can use sage or sweet grass for it.

Then do the ritual with Black Destroyer and send this curse back to the one who started it be they alive or dead.

Then go to a Catholic church at the end of the Sunday mass sit at the back and pray for protection and enlightenment. Meditate there for a few minutes, take in the peace of the place.

From then on do rituals and prayers for protection, enlightenment, and improvement. Do not put your hopes and dreams onto one thing but look for opportunities for improvement, they may not be what you expect but they will be what you REALLY need.

I'll explain this in a post later on, and learn from that new post. Tonight here on the Pacific Coast we are going to have a lunar eclipse, you may see it where you are as well. Either way this is a Moon of powerful and somewhat uncomfortable change. I am going to post a link to this. Watch for it and do a ritual tonight to bring in positive things to you and banish all that is negative.

It will take time but by this time next year you will see changes. Do NOT Despair, the Higher Power, God, Mother Mary, the Angles they all love you. Remember That!

So first what is a curse?

The dictionary says “a solemn utterance intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something”   to cause malediction, hex, jinx,  a cause of harm or misery,   affliction, burden, cross to bear, bane

Or it is an offensive word or phrase used to express anger or annoyance: obscenity, swear word, expletive, oath, profanity, four-letter word, dirty word, blasphemy; more informally a cuss word.

Many people believe in the Generational Curse as stated in the Bible:

Exodus 34:7, "Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting (punishing) the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation."

Lamentations 5:7, "Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne (been punished for) their iniquities."

Some people believe that  common symptoms of generational curses are family illnesses that seem to just walk from one person down to the next ( Such as cancer being a common physical manifestation of alleged spiritual bondage), continual financial difficulties (they continually hit roadblocks in their finances), mental problems, persistent irrational fears and depression. Anything that seems to be a persistent struggle or problem that was handed down from one generation to another may very well appear to be a generational curse.

Based on texts taken out of context and used as pretexts it has become increasingly common for people to believe that they are victims of generational curses. As such, they think they have inherited demons/curses ranging from anger to alcoholism, from laziness to lust. Closer examination, however, demonstrates this notion to be seriously flawed.

First, Scripture clearly communicates that consequences—not curses—are passed on through the generations. In this sense, the Bible says that children are punished for the sins of their fathers “to the third and fourth generation” (Exod.20:5).2 the children of alcoholic fathers/parents frequently suffer neglect and abuse as a direct consequence of their parents behavior. Moreover, it is believed the descendants of those who hate God or live a degenerate life are likely to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers.

It takes a strong will to break out of these learned destructive patterns of behavior, even though you may not think it’s a learned pattern subconsciously it is.

But back in Biblical times and even up to less than 30 years ago people believed it to be a Generational Curse not taking into account DNA or heredity, a form of mental illness or learned behaviors.  These are all factors that are never taken into account.

Many children learn to be messy if their parents are messy, make poor financial or personal decisions if their parents do the same.  It is a continual negative pattern of something being handed down or learned from generation to generation.  And it is subliminal, as the old saying goes “Monkey See, Monkey Do”.

Now the question has been put to me “Well what about adopted children?”   People who are adopted could end up with the same characteristics as their birth parents, not because they were around their birth parents to learn how they behaved, but because they inherited their DNA, if the birth parents were prone to cancer or heart conditions that is passed onto the children, if there was an odd quirk in the biological parents psychological makeup there is the possibility of that being passed on via DNA.

For instance I knew a couple that adopted a lovely baby boy, he was quick to learn and a bright child, but as he grew older his outlook on life grew darker and darker, even though he did well in school, and his adopted parents were excellent and loving role models, they couldn’t understand why their son was having such grim thoughts.

By the time the boy was 18 he had dropped out of school and had become addicted to drugs, even though his adopted parents were not, then he disappeared they searched very hard for him only to discover him appearing on a news broadcast that their adopted son had killed an elderly man, trying to get into the elderly persons home thinking that his imaginary girlfriend lived there.

The adopted son was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia acerbated by drug use, later they found out that the biological birth father was a paranoid schizophrenic and that both he and the biological mother were heavy drug users. Something that had not been completely revealed to the adoptive parents, they only had be told that the Mother was in an institution and was dying.

It is not a generational curse but DNA, which the ancients of the Bible and many people until 20 or 30 years ago blamed as a “Generational Curse”.  The ancients had no concept of DNA nor learned behaviors, so in there slightly less sophisticated minds it was a curse.

Not all adopted children go down this path, although they may have inherited medical conditions from their biological parents , many, many of them in a nurturing environment grow up and become wonderful contributors to Society.

For example my Doctor and his wife adopted two children a boy and a girl, they grew up, the boy became a pharmacist, the girl a surgery nurse and have lovely children all interested in the medical field.

I also knew a young woman who had lived in horrible circumstances, her mother was a welfare mother and the product of a welfare mother.  Her mother would go out, prostitute herself and get pregnant and then sue the biological father for some money and get welfare, they lived in a mold and bug infested place but would hide when the Social Services people would come around, and her Mother said that was the way to live and avoid having to work and her mother learned that from her Mother, but this young woman watched on T.V. programs that showed women climbing out of poverty through hard work.

To avoid the conditions she lived in, as much as possible she’d go to the public library and found and read books on self-improvement, she talked to one of her teachers who was kind and far sighted to help mentor her, even though her mother and siblings derided her on what she was doing.   When her classes ended for the day she worked part time at a store and then go to the library to do her homework, lots of time walking home in the dark and in fear.

She decided to take business classes in High School so she could get a job to support herself, and went to college part time.   She is now a successful business woman, she got out of where she lived which was “Drive-by Shooting Central”.

So how did she do it?

She looked around at what was negative in her life and said “I don’t want to do that. I don't want that in my life.”   She did rituals of prayer and meditation, created amulets for protection and focus, she went to and attended a church that was nearby to help her get funding for her schooling, and to build up her courage, eventually she got an excellent job and rose in her profession,

In the end she tried to help her Mother and siblings and all but one rejected her, claiming they were “cursed”  but she was a shining example of how to break the curse and managed to rescue her youngest sibling before she fell into the same learning behavioral trap.

Now before I have folks rise up against me saying why am I picking on Welfare Mothers, I want to make it clear that I know 90% of Welfare recipients are not abusing the system, but are doing their best to make ends meet, get out of poverty but they do need a "helping hand" to get them out of a crushing situation and I say Good for Them and would be more than happy to offer a helping hand.

But there is a small minority of people both men and women who do abuse the system and are not setting good examples for their children.   I just happen to know this woman who told me her story of how she "broke the curse of her family."

A lot of people say “Well there’s those stories about how a curse is handed down from Father to Son or Mother to Daughter etc. etc. etc.”   Most of those are little more than fictional fancy, in the 15th, 16th ,17th etc centuries it was easy to say that family was cursed with early death, when it could have been something as simple as tuberculosis or learned behavior or a congenital illness or in some cases unknown means of death.

For example in Victorian Homes the Victorians loved to wall paper their rooms, especially with wall paper with bright green patterns, but what the Victorians didn't know is that the wall paper carried "Death" in the form of Arsenic.

The manufactures would make this brilliant green color wall paper and fix the color using Arsenic and the Arsenic particles from the wall paper would in tiny, tiny particles flake off and  fall onto  people's hair, skin, clothing, food and slowly poison them to death.  As a matter of fact many things had arsenic or lead in them.

Sometimes the use of candle lighting or Gas lighting would release gas fumes laced with the heated Arsenic killing people  slowly.

It was years before Arsenic and Copper Salts (another killer) was banned from manufacturing and not until the 1970's in Britain and the U.S. was Lead banned from house paint.

A Generational Curse??  More like an industrial revolution curse.

Now let’s take a fictional example such as Conan Doyle’s’ “The Hound of the Baskervilles” as how people think Generational Curses work.

In the story Dr. James Mortimer asks Sherlock Holmes to investigate the death of his friend, Sir Charles Baskerville. The Baskerville family has supposedly been under a curse since the era of the English Civil War, when Hugo Baskerville offered his soul to the devil for help in abducting a woman and was reportedly killed by a giant spectral hound. Sir Charles believed in the curse and was apparently running away from something when he died, Dr. Mortimer believes that the curse will pass onto Sir Charles nephew, Henry.   Of course Sherlock Holmes has to investigate.  Holmes eventually unveils a plot by an unknown relative to kill Sir Henry and inherit the estate.

I recommend that everyone read the story and see the 1939 film version with Basil Rathbone , the 1959 version with Peter Cushing and the 1988 version with Jeremy Brett.

Doyle was interested in telling a “ripping good yarn” but this was based on a legend of  Squire Richard Cabell, who  lived for hunting and was what in those days was described as a 'monstrously evil man'. He gained this reputation for, amongst other things, immorality and having sold his soul to the Devil. There was also a rumor that he had murdered his wife. On 5 July 1677, he died and was laid to rest in a sepulcher. The night of his interment saw a phantom pack of hounds come baying across the moor to howl at his tomb.

But with the Baskerville curse that was just a story, and I myself have seen hounds cry or bay when a master or owner dies,  I myself witnessed my Grandma’s pet toy poodle at the moment of her passing start to Bay or cry, I had gone to her house to feed and make sure her dog had been let outside to relieve itself and out in the yard the dog stopped looked up at the sky and started to bay to the stars for a good 5 minutes, I noted the time, and when I returned to the hospital was informed that she had passed, my Mother was with her and told me the time and it was the same time as when her dog started to bay.

Curses were invented to both vent a person’s anger, throw fear into people, or to teach a community on proper behavior, yes, proper behavior, “if you don’t want ‘this’ to happen, don’t do ‘that’ “

In the end that is what a curse or Generational Curse is all about, making good choices to not follow bad examples within the family or to be aware of any medical conditions that are inherited.

Now people are going to say “well what about the curse of Tutankhamen aka King Tut”, truthfully there was no curse, the canary supposedly eaten by a snake was very much alive and given to a friend, Cairo in the 1920’s always had black outs, Lord Carnarvon was already in weak health and any infection would have been fatal in those days before antibiotics and no death curse tablet was ever found by Howard Carter, but one could trust journalists to tell a “ripping good yarn” and back in the 1920’s journalists were not above fabricating a story to sell newspapers, much like lies are told on the internet.

You RD, Red Velvet and others can break a so-called “Generational Curse” but you have to make wise choices and know that not everything that is bad that happens is a curse.

If I believed that then I would say that the 5 year period where I had a total of 10 elderly family members die was a curse----yes it was----the curse of old age and failing health.

We have our ups and our downs, and not everything we desire may be right for us, it could be very, very wrong for us, but we can break the alleged “curse” by following what I recommended that I wrote near the top of this article and making wise, informed choices.

Blessings and Good Fortune to you all.  Ms. Q
