Why you need to work to have spells work for you----Control that fear!

Dear Ms. Q

“I need a spell to stop so and so …”   “I need a spell because….”   “I need a spell because life is hard…”

This is an addendum or addition to my post on “Why spells don’t work”  if you have not read that post dear readers, please do.

I am getting a lot of requests for spells for this and spells for that and what makes it very hard for any spell to work is that the person or persons requesting the spell or spells,  is living in FEAR.   In fear of a person, in fear of a situation, in fear of the hardships of their life.

If I were a Televangists, I could explain to all of you that we ALL live lives of quiet desperation, even I do, I am not immune to it.

BUT my Grandparents, my parents taught me and my brothers that WE are in charge of our lives, not anyone else, if someone else is in charge of our life it is because 1. We are under age, 2. We as adults allow someone else to make decisions for us, without our input or we do not research or look into what is the best choice for us or we simply give it up.  People who join cults do this, to tragic results (Jonestown, Waco Branch Davidians)

If you’re underage, well there the law says you do need the supervision of the adult, be it parent or guardian.  But even a child can ask for the help of another responsible adult for aid if it’s needed.   However if you broke a rule, didn’t tell your parents where you’re going, etc., then you do deserve a “time-out” and privileges taken away.

But if you are an adult and I say this especially to women, WHY DO YOU GIVE YOUR PERSONAL POWER, YOUR RIGHT OF PERSONAL CHOICE AWAY??   Why do you allow someone to control you?

Why do you?   For Love??  For protection?  Well that is a pretty poor choice or reason.

Because for example If he beats you up, you are not being loved, you are not being protected.  Therefore get away from him call the police, he/she will never love you, a person like that is incapable of love,  they only love power of the worse and most evil kind.   And that kind of person will not be happy until they kill you, and yet they will not accept any responsibility because they Have NO moral compass.

If someone else is making your life miserable, and you are an adult, and it does not matter if this person is your parent, an ex-husband or wife, or boy-friend or girlfriend, a brother, sister, cousin, relative, your neighbor or co-worker, or someone a family member brought into your life, you have a choice and a legal way to get them out of your life.

But what holds you back is FEAR, Fear of taking charge, Fear of being pro-active, Fear of even consulting legal consul to find out what you can legally do, Fear of calling the police to protect yourself and those you love.

So why do you allow FEAR to control you?  You Shouldn't!

Let me give you a personal life example, my next door neighbor wanted to remove a tree that was well inside my property, an apple tree, my apple tree, every year I and my family we picked the apples off the tree, we even offered some to my neighbor but he refused,  we made apple sauce or preserved the slices to make apple pie,   I made sure that the branches of this tree never hung over the fence line always trimmed them back,  this tree was 6 feet away from the fence line, but my neighbor hated that tree with an obsession.

Now the fence was originally put up by my neighbor after we both had mutual surveys done to confirm the property line and the survey’s both were in agreement as to where the line was.   I even paid for half the cost of the fence as a neighborly gesture, but for 20 years afterwards my neighbor began to hate that apple tree,  and was demanding that I remove it (which I refused) even though the tree was there before my neighbor bought his house.  Every year I took pictures of my back yard, more for insurance purposes than anything and it included that tree.

One year I was gone for a week, and my daughter would pick up the mail and I had auto lights to turn the lights on and off in the house, the fence was falling down so my neighbor removed the fence and then trespassed onto my property and chopped down my tree, my daughter saw him do it, chain saw and all and tried to stop him she even called the police but it was too late my beloved old apple tree was gone, scatted in sections around my yard, it was treeacide!

I didn’t weep or cry about the loss, I didn’t argue with my neighbor, AND I didn’t live in Fear of him either,   in my mind I thought “Of course you know this means War!”

So I did a ritual spell to win my court case against him which would include replacing my apple tree with one at least 5 years old,  I also had my property line resurveyed because while I was gone,  he built the new fence 1 foot onto my property, since I also had copies of my previous survey and his,  I did another ritual spell to win the court case to have him remove his fence and put it back on the original property line,  and this included court costs as well, I was going for the jugular.

Then I did binding spells on him, to prevent him for doing anything further, but in addition to that I also put up security cameras,  Do you see what I’m getting at?

I did not give him my power, I kept it, and for each step that I did legally, I backed it up with a ritual spell to strengthen it.

After a bit I started doing spells to have him move far, far away.    I’m not sure exactly what happened but one evening, he and his wife were throwing everything they could pack into their SUV and hurriedly left,  I heard they were living in a motel for a while and within two weeks, some movers came but only with the wife to direct them, the husband stayed away, and they moved the rest of their belongings out,  and the house was put up for sale.

I now have very nice neighbors who love the fresh apples my replacement apple tree provides.

What I’m trying to say is if you allow fear and other people to control your choices, your actions, then even a spell will not help you until you control that fear.   The spell can help you control that fear so you can make positive choices, do positive actions, but you need to work at it, Do Not be passive, be active, be a warrior, even if you think you're knees are shaking be a warrior.

But Don’t weep, moan or beg for the other person to change, there are sick people who like that, they enjoy it, it’s a form of emotional black mail,  instead be Pro-active and find out what you can do.    If you must, then move far away if need be, but never allow them to be a parasite vampire in your life.

I knew one woman (we still exchange letters) who lived in fear of her mother,  the mother was abusive, claimed her daughter was a liar, would drink and I saw the abuse she did to her daughter, didn’t allow her to go to the prom or attend her own graduation from high school, when the diploma was mailed to her, her mother ripped it up in front of her face and told her that it was useless since she was useless.   I saw her mother do that.  My friend felt helpless and turned to me and said "Help Me."

I told my Mom what happened, since my friend was 18 she moved out of her mother’s house and stayed with us while she went to business school, working part time and paying us a very modest rent, but I had her do spells and rituals to give her strength and confidence and to keep her Mom far, far away.   She got a job working at a lawyer’s office and got her own place, her helplessness left her, she felt empowered, that she is useful and with purpose.

One evening we went to the movies, the theater was close to my house so she was going to stay overnight with me and catch a bus home the next day, as we were crossing the street near my house a car suddenly sped up and nearly ran us over, we were lucky just some scrapes and dirty clothes, told the police and tried to recover, Mom asked my friend if she was keeping up with her rituals for protection well no, since things seemed to be going fine, she let it lapse, but the next day we got what she needed and started it again.

Later that day I saw a car that looked like the one that nearly ran us over, I made a note of the license plate, a week later I drove by my friend’s Mother house the car was there and the license plate number was the same.   I told my friend, she got mad and did a restraining order on her Mother.   She kept the spells up, but decided she needed to move out of town, without anyone including other family members knowing where she moved to.   She continued doing the spells even when she was in a new place, until I called her to tell her that her Mom died.

But she told me she continues to do the protection spells because they work and give her confidence in anything she does.   It helps to empower her.

And that is what I’m trying to tell you by these two examples that besides doing the spells you also need to empower yourself as well.   Never Ever Let Anyone Have Power Over You!

The spells will work but you have to be focused and you have to control and overcome your Fear and be empowered.

Bright Blessings,
Ms. Q

  1. What are some ways to control fear spirituality and magically?

    1. Hello My Dear,

I’m going to have to address this in sections first in the real, mundane world, and then in the spiritual world.

Fear is always with us, it is a force that drives us for survival, but it can also paralyze us as well so that we don’t do anything.

Before we can control fear spirituality and magically we first have to control it mentally and emotionally and that part is hard, we have to really dig into ourselves and say “That is NOT going to happen!” or as Della, one of Granny’s friends use to say “BASTA!! ENOUGH!!” (she was Italian)

Author Katherine Paterson once said: "To fear is one thing. To let fear grab you by the tail and swing you around is another."

Mark Tyrell came up with several ways of controlling emotional fear:

How we breathe can be the short circuit to be fearful, so control your breathing by taking a breath in (to the quick count of 7 in your mind). Then slowly breathe out (to the quick count of 11 in your mind) Doing that for a minute or so will quickly calm you down.

Calm down your imagination, it primes your mind and body into fear. Do that 7/11 breathing even when you are fearful of future events, by doing that you will be calm when the actual situation arrives.

Try to think clearly, do not allow emotions to overrun the thinking part of the brain it gets in the way of preserving your safety you want to retain clear thought and avoid panic.

Keeping your 'thinking brain' working actually calms you right down. Scale your own fear from 1 to 10, 10 being the most terrified it's possible to be and 1 being the ultimate relaxed state. When you're feeling anxious, ask yourself: "Okay what number on the scale am I right now? Am I a 7, or a 5?" Just doing this will lower anxiety because it kick-starts the thinking brain, diluting the emotion and automatically making you calmer and puts a “fence” around your fear.

This helps to get control of your imagination. Because imagination can make us fearful, but if you see yourself as being calm, composed, cool, and comfortable and things going well that takes it away, it reconditions your mind to be calmer.

Tyrell suggests using the AWARE technique. AWARE is an acronym standing for:

A: Accept the anxiety. Don't try to fight it.

W: Watch the anxiety. Just watch it and when you notice it scale your level of fear and start to breathe longer on the out-breath.

A: Stands for 'Act normally'. Carry on talking or behaving as if nothing is different. This sends a powerful signal to your unconscious mind that its over-dramatic response is actually not needed because nothing that unusual is going on. Like fire fighters coming out and seeing that no emergency is happening and so going back to the fire station.

R: Repeat the above steps in your mind if necessary.

E: Expect the best. One of the greatest feelings in life is the realization that you can control fear much more than you thought possible.

Overcoming fear will give you the 'spare capacity' in life to focus on what you really want to be and do. It takes effort, but the rewards are great.

But you say O.K. that’s fine for anxiety fears but what if you’re in an abusive situation?

Well that’s harder, because those in an abusive situation subconsciously or have been conditioned to think they deserve that abuse, be it at home, at work, at school. And the first thing someone has to realize is that is not so, and they need to find the courage within themselves to get help to extricate themselves from it and mentally re-program themselves to KNOW they are the better person and their abuser is the one who lacks self-worth. And that takes courage to admit that first. You’ve got to get angry and stop being a victim and say “BASTA!!! ENOUGH!!!” And have to courage to walk away. It’s hard, very hard but it’s like being exorcised and freed from a demon possession.

Now on the spiritual level we’ll continue that in Part 2

    2. Part 2

Finding a Way to Face Our Fears on the spiritual and magical level can only be done when we control our fears on the “real world or mundane level” you do that first the rest can be done.

But to do that you have to have the knowledge of what to do to protect yourself. One of the first books I recommend is an “Oldie but Goodie” and that is “Psychic Defense” by Dion Fortune, she had to deal with an abusive person who was trying to control her and she devised a way to set up protections. Another book is “Something Wicked” by Debi Chestnut which is very helpful.

When you go to sleep ask your Guardian angles and spirit guides to protect you when you sleep and to bring your Astral self, back safely into your body.

The next thing is to protect and shield yourself, your home, car, read my posts that I have listed in my Archive under Shields, shielding, wards, warding, protection, protection spell etc. that will give you a far better idea of what to do.

There are those negative entities that prey upon us as well because they thrive on chaos and fear, and as we’ve are seeing the world unfold it’s all around us.

One of the first lines of defense are prayers for protection, the most powerful is the St. Michael prayer:

“Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.”

A popular prayer of protection is by James Dillet Freeman. It goes like this:
      The light of God surrounds us;
      The love of God enfolds us;
      The presence of God watches over us;
      Wherever we are, God is!

Start the day with the St. Michael prayer and during the day say the Freeman prayer.

Other devices of protection are amulets depending upon your belief such as a Cross or crucifix, a St. Benedict Medal, St. Michael Medal, a Rosary
These should be blessed by a priest and you should infuse it with your belief.

Other items again depending upon your religious path, are Medicine Bags filled with protective herbs and crystals.

Some people wear crystals as protection or certain stones, I have a small turquoise ring and I’ve never removed it except when I had to go in for surgery, Topaz is believed to keep evil beings away.

Some folks wear talismans on them made of silver, like a pyramid shaped pin or an Ankh or the eye of Horus, or a scorpion in amber, I have such a pendant which I wear when I’m going to be among people who may be of a negative thinking, I’ve come across those at Political rallies and at the DMV.

I also burn incense such as:
Dragon's Blood: used to get rid of negativity and exorcise negative and evil entities, it can be used for protection.
Frankincense: This has been used for centuries to get rid of negativity and purify sacred spaces. It's also used to protect against evil, aid meditation, and can be used in exorcisms.
Myrrh: Myrrh is most often burned with frankincense for protection, purification, healing, exorcism, and banishing evil.
Sage: A very traditional incense used to protect against all forms of evil. It purifies a space.
Sandalwood: Generally used to exorcise demons and other types of negative entities. It can be used as a form of protection and cleansing as well.

And there are times when I feel that the incense might be too heavy so I burn lavender and vanilla scented candles for peace and good feelings.

I also keep a holy water fount next to my front door filled with holy water, I bless myself before I leave my house and I bless myself when I come home.

Other things one can do if you feel that something negative has stuck to you is to take a cleansing herb bath to banish the negative energy.

There are many things you can do.

      Continue in Part 3

    3. Part 3

There are some basic techniques you can do to protect yourself and your energy especially from People who drain you aka Psychic Vampires and trust me there are a lot of them out there.

There are two type of shields you can visualize can call upon one is white light energy. You visualize surrounding yourself with the white light of eternal love and protection You can do it with one of these 3 visualizations:

Picture yourself in the center of a light bulb, then imagine it is turned on.

While standing under a shower of water (real or imagined), see/feel the water turn into the light.

Visualize an angel hovering over you and the light radiating from all around it and around you.

White light raises our own vibrations and it helps to neutralize the negative vibrations that might make their way to our aura.

The next is a Blue Bubble or Blue Shield although it’s not as well-known its technique is to surround ourselves mentally with either a bubble or a shield that will reflect and absorb negativity. The color blue, represents will power, we layer this over the white light to provide additional levels of protection to the psyche and auric energy field.

This is very good when you are around large crowds like a mall or a big festival, it also works at large parties with a lot of people you’re not familiar with. You can also do this (with practice) by putting a negative person inside such a shield and they get affected by their own bad energy.

Body positions are also good, by crossing your arms and legs it protects your chakra’s, they act to close off the human energy circuits and also protect various chakra (energy) points – depending on where the arms are crossed. The next time you are around someone that seems to be pulling at your energy or spewing a bunch of negativity, sit down calmly, cross your arms and legs, and listen. Their energy won’t be affecting you and eventually they’ll get tired or drained (as they aren’t getting any of your energy and they are using up their own supply) and then just leave you alone for the rest of the day.

A simple mirror works well or a pin or pendant of silver that reflects, or you can visualize mirrors reflecting outward from you as shields. I’ve hung small fung shui mirrors at my front and back doors, and a small mirror to reflect behind me at my work cubicle.

And of course salt, this works well both at home and at work, use Kosher or Sea Salt they absorb negative energy and will ground or take it away from you if you have picked up any.

There are many ways to use this technique. You can put some salt into a small decorative glass and leave the glass on your work desk or in the room where people are most often found. This will absorb negative vibes. Make sure to flush it and change it out every month or after every fight/argument.

Sprinkle a pinch to some bath water and soak in it. This will pull negativity off and away from you as you soak and add a touch of baking soda also to revitalize or help regain the lost energy.

Dilute some salt into a spray bottle of spring or mineral water. Spray as a mist in the air of any room which has been overloaded with negativity or in which recent fights/arguments have occurred. This has the effect of making the environment feel light, pure, and airy again. Many folks combine this with the burning of sage (often called smudging) to cleanse and clear areas.

Using a combination of prayer, amulets, incense, salt, mirrors, plants, visualizations etc. can protect you spiritually and magically.

There are so many more that I would have to do another entire article on it and I’m considering it.

Just remember what doesn’t kill you – makes you stronger.

      Thank you for your question.

      Bright Blessings,
      Ms. Q
