We'll be going back on vacation~~~

Hello Everyone,

My Husband and I have the SUV almost packed, we'll be leaving tomorrow to go visiting family and friends.

I have family here that is house sitting for us and will be decorating the house for Halloween while we're gone for two (2) weeks.

I will not be able to answer any questions or comments during the time that I'm gone, and my niece who helps me with my blog, will also be gone visiting some friends and enjoying Octoberfest, she deserves a vacation too.

So if you post a question or comment, please do not panic if you don't see it come up and try to post a 2nd or 3rd time.

Your questions or comments will be there but in a "holding" file waiting to be moderated, once either I or my niece returns it will get posted.  So please don't panic.

When I return I hope to have some more articles to post,  I've been getting questions about the use of  keys, floor washes, dolls and pins, Florida Water, too much to even think about.

But I have to say the Month of October is a perfect time to let your Hoodoo or Witchyness out.

And lots of times I will do a sort of film festival here at the house, for the kiddies I'll play "Hocus-Pocus" and "Hotel Transylvania"  but for the adults I'll play something far more close to home  two British Films that really got the concept of doing the work and how it can go wrong "Burn, Witch, Burn" (aka "night of the eagle")  and "Night of the Demon" (aka "Curse of the Demon" US title) I prefer "Night of the Demon it has the complete film where as "Curse" cut out some 10 minutes of it.

Of Course "Supernatual" premier's on Oct 12, with season 13  so I already have my T.V. set to record it, I need to see what trouble the Winchester Boys get into this time.

So whether you celebrate Ocktoberfest or Halloween/Samhain or the Days of the Dead,  now is the time to prepare for fun.

Bright Blessings,
Ms. Q

Leaving on another Road Trip next week~~~~

Hello Everyone,

Well next week my hubby and I are going to hit the road again, to see more family members and those that we only had a brief time to spend with.

We are not putting a time line on how long I’ll be gone,  I’m leaving the Halloween decorating to my nieces and nephews, they will be house sitting for me.

Again I’m not sure how soon I’ll be back to respond to any comments or questions, but  I hope to have a few more articles to post here.

Some of you have given me ideas based upon your questions about what to write about, because I know if one of you asks that question I’m sure there are a hundred of you who may have thought about it.

I love traveling in the Autumn, although the rivers and waterfalls do not run as full as in the late Spring (another time of year I love)  but there is always something spiritually exciting in the air during those two times of the year.    And I never know what I’ll come across.

For me even at my old age every day is a learning lesson, and if we stop learning well then we die, figuratively speaking.   I learn from observation, reading, asking questions, doing something I’ve never tried but trust me at my age I will not do rock climbing, sometimes watching historical documentaries on the PBS station or watching a favorite T.V. program to see (through the scriptwriter’s thinking) the types of thoughts or situations that might be faced even if the story line might be too over blown.

But nature is the best teacher, every morning I wake up, I have a cup of coffee in hand and sit on my back  porch and look at my garden, but I’m doing more than looking, I’m listening and observing too, to the sounds around me, the songs of the birds, the furtive movements of the squirrels, the sounds of the city trucks picking up recyclables, or street sweeping, the beeping of the work trucks that are just 7 blocks over working on a building project,  the barking of a dog, the smell of bacon in the cool air, a child calling out to its parent, the leaves on the trees, what might be blooming in the yard, even the scent of the air like a perfume that can’t be bottled, the feel of the breeze on my skin, to enjoy the not quite silence of life around me, that is a wonderful teacher using all 5 of my natural senses and not have them drowned out by loud music, crowds, cars-buses-trucks all hurrying to nowhere, to just be still and take it all in,  that is why I love to travel in an RV (use to camp in a tent), and stay near a river or lake and take in all that nature has to offer, it’s healing and it’s teaching and we should all learn from it.

So we’ll be leaving again sometime next week.   And for me getting there is 75 percent of the fun.

My niece will be gone as well visiting some friends, as I said other family members will be house sitting, but I have told them to not tinker with my blog.

So if anyone posts a question or comment, it won’t be answered until I return and please don’t fret or post twice if you don’t see it come up, because it will be in a “holding file” for moderation, and I check all my files.

For now with this weekend coming up my suggestion to you dear readers is to go out, take a picnic lunch and experience nature, in a park, the beach, a picnic in the country, do Not take your MP3 players, don’t cut yourself off with wearing those ear bud thingees, let nature be your music, listen, feel, observe all its sutilties, and rejuvenate your energies.

Bright Blessings,

I'm back!~~~~

Hello Dear Readers,

I'm back from my little vacation.

We would have stayed out visiting more family but they had plans as well, so had enough time to say "Hello--Goodbye"

It was lovely going out into the country, feeling Autumn in the air that feeling where the air is warm but you can sense that undercurrent of chill that lingers and reminds one that winter is coming.

We've made a few new friends along the way, I wish we could have been out longer.

So it was decided to come home, rest a bit and then at the beginning of October leave again this time to head more inland towards the mountains but stay under the snow line.

There a few old "Living" ghost towns I want to go to, when I say living it's like the population is down to 100 folks.   One place a friend of mine who lives there,  is a practitioner and has given me and my husband an open invitation.  I've been in touch with her and arrangements are made.

If I felt a bit spryer and didn't have to be concerned with home ownership I think I'd be content living the R.V. Life, a mechanized Gypsy Wagon in a way.

One of my friends does that, for most of the year she travels up and down going to the fairs both psychic and Renaissance Fairs and others, doing readings,  and then during the slow winter months rents a room or studio apartment on a month to month tenancy.

She says she has to plan her schedule very carefully for dental, doctor, tax preparer appointments as well as maintenance on her RV.   In  way I envy her, but only in a way.  There is something to be said to have a permanent residence.

While I was visiting one of my relatives told me about a web site called "Swamp Water Botanica" and my relative was pretty happy with the stuff they sold and got very good results and their products are reasonably priced.

I'm going to check out their web site and then post it as a link here on my Blog.

One of my relatives had friends visiting, well more like staying for a week to recover from Hurricane Irma,  They were lucky their home wasn't badly damaged,  a fence fell down, a few shingles ripped off of their garage roof,  the roof was patched right away the fence will be done later.

But the lady said she gathered up some water that had collected in an old cooler that had rolled around in their back yard and finally settled down and the heavy, hard, hurricane rain filled it,  and she too being a practitioner saved that water, she's thinking of making War Water with it.   All that hurricane energy, she said, was too good to allow to go to waste.

And I think maybe a few others may have also had that foresight---I pity the fools who might cross them.

My niece has been keeping tabs on my blog and informed me of some of you who have posted questions to me and I have answered them.   Hopefully my replies have been of some help to you.

We are going to have a bit of a warm spell this coming week, which is fine, and then we'll see what the weather the following week will bring.

I see the leaves curling and falling from the trees,  a neighbor had done some repairs, and another has painted their house,  come 4 p.m. a breeze kicks up a bit of dust swirling it around reminding me of dusty streets of old western towns.  It's a ghostly type of feeling in a way.  Autumn does that.

So for now I'm going to relax read my mail (snail mail) and pay bills (that never stops) and do laundry tomorrow (there's always laundry).

While I was traveling I had a chance to write up a couple of articles for my blog so it has been a productive trip as well.

I'll be posting one or two before I go on another trip.

Bright Blessings,
Ms. Q

I'm leaving on Vacation~~~

Hello Dear Readers,

Well our bags are packed, the car is loaded,  we've had breakfast and the dishes etc are washed.

I'll be gone for two weeks, going to visit people and see places.   I'll not be able to reply to any comments or questions during that time, so please be patient.

And then back to decorate for Halloween.

I hope when I return to have a few more articles to post.

I know we're leaving a little late in the morning but I've always said getting there is 50% of the fun and to treat each excursion as a serendipitous adventure.

Fall will be arriving in a few days, in the Northern Hemisphere on Friday September 22, 2017.

For those of you who celebrate the seasons  this is a time when all things magical can happen.  On my travels I will put out a small bottle of spring water to capture the energy of the Fall equinox.  A time of Change,  of going within to meditate and improve one's self.  That is the energy to capture.

This is a perfect time to watch for "found objects" that can be used in magical workings.  It can be a feather or a pebble.  Or something you discover at a Yard Sale or Rummage Sale.

Use that time to celebrate the arrival of fall, visit a Farmers Market and discover all the blessings of the Earth, new foods to taste, new wine to drink.

I know I will.

So celebrate!!

Bright Blessings,
Ms. Q

I Will be taking a little vacation~~~~

Hello Dear Readers,

Well my family thinks I'm well enough to go  on a little vacation and get spiritually recharged.

And I have to agree with them.

I'll still be posting or at least checking and replying to the comments section for another week, and then I'll be gone for a week, maybe two.

Then when I get back, we'll be decorating for Halloween.

For some reason the younger members of my family seem to think I need an 8 foot tall skeleton T-Rex in my front yard!!   Ahhh I'm not too sure about that.

I have seen them just recently at the Home Depot store when we had to get some paint to paint the garage.

But I kept asking the youngsters "Where am I going to put it when Halloween is over?"  and they replied to put a giant Santa Claus hat on it for Christmas.

Sigh----and I thought I was silly.

So  anyway if you post a comment and I do not reply within a few days, I'm on vacation.

Bright Blessings,
Ms. Q

This is the Home Depot T-Rex---I'm not too sure about this. And it's really 9 feet tall.
